In the middle of time

There lies a hungry sea ‘monster’

In the attempt to capture prey

For survival in the depths.

For a ‘monster’ is as much alive

As a human on solid ground

Difference is, they have no evil within them

Just the instinct of survival.

The true and real monsters,

Are the mortals of this plain

We seek out more than survival,

Such as artificial power and order.

With the mind at ease

One can feel the trauma left behind

Scarred from the torture of our evolution

Destruction left here because of desire and greed.

We say we are with god,

But the devil lay inside us

We say we are helping,

But all that is left is fires behind us

So, don’t try to tell me that it’s alright.
