Will never forget seeing the life in his eyes leave.

Seeing the color escape his body.

Making his skin look pale as a ghost.

Motionless, death lingers in the air.

Dim and filled with darkness.

No blink to signal life.

No movement in sight.

He is gone and his deathbed is the concrete.

These eyes have seen death.

These eyes have seen blood.

The image and memory embedded into the brain.

Scarred forever, the scene replaying over and over again will drive me insane.

Eyes

Pretty dark poem, right? I make them a lot, I noticed. If you liked it, feel free to leave a like and comment.

Also would appreciate a follow, if you’re interested in more poetry.
